AN EXPERLMENTAL STUDY OF CRACK FATIGUE GROWTH UNDER LONGITUDINAL CYCLIC TENSION COMBINED WITH HORIZONTAL BENDING LOADING

Abstract:

Crack fatigue growth rate under longitudinal cyclic tension combined with horizontal bending loading has been experimentally studied with specially designed apparatus in this paper. A simple and safe method is presented for solving fatigue strength of this component. Then, a formula of this component Then ,a formula of crack fatigue growth rate, is presented for this case. The ratio between minimum and maximum tensile loads being considered, the formula becomes which extended the formula presented by Forman for this situation.
