RESEARCH ON BOTTOM WATER DRIVE IN CARBONATE MATRIX BLOCK

Abstract: The capillary flow equation of oil-wet carbonate rock block is set up,and the influence of block height,oil viscosity,rock surface wettability and the size of pore and throat on recovery under the condition of different bottom water drive rate is discussed.Block height influences recovery differently due to the different wet ability.To water-wet block,the lower the height is,the greater the recovery is,to oil-wet block,the higher the block height is,the greater the recovery is.As the increase of bottom water drive rate,water breaks through quickly along the big fractures.The factors influencing matrix block recovery can not change the fact that a large amount of remaining oil is left in the pore and throat space.
