Abstract: Intangible cultural heritage and square culture belong to the construction of public cultural service system, and both have
many similarities in the cultural forms and manifestation patterns. In the construction of the public cultural service system, the
protection of intangible cultural heritage and square cultural activities can form a benign interactive relationship of mutual cooperation
and mutual promotion. The diversity of the intangible cultural heritage can enrich the contents of square cultural activities, its unique
way of generating and inheritance can enrich the manifestation patterns of square cultural activities, its rich cultivation, regionalism
and nationality has enriched the cultural connotations of square culture. Square culture, in turn, can promote the diversity of
inheritance agents of intangible cultural heritage, expand inheritance space of intangible cultural heritage, provide the carrier and
platform for the spread of intangible cultural heritage and reconstruct inheritance patterns and social needs for intangible cultural
heritage.
