Abstract:  Exploring the relationship between ecosystem services and residents' well-being helps clarify the contributions of
ecosystem services to human well-being and supports well-being improvement. Taking the agricultural cultural heritage tourism site of
the Longji Terraces as the research area, this paper constructs an evaluation index system to assess the current status of residents' wellbeing.
It further adopts a structural equation model to explore the impacts of ecosystem services on residents' well-being and the
corresponding group differences. The conclusions are drawn as follows: ① Overall, subjective and objective well-being exhibit a "highhigh"
clustered spatial distribution, reflecting a relatively desirable balanced state. ② Ecosystem services exert a significant positive
influence on both subjective and objective well-being, and can indirectly shape subjective well-being through the mediating effect of
objective well-being. Resident attributes also present significant positive effects on ecosystem services, as well as on subjective and
objective well-being. ③ The impacts of ecosystem services on well-being vary across resident groups. Specifically, the direct effects of
ecosystem services on subjective well-being are insignificant for both tourism-participating and non-tourism residents. For objective
well-being, however, such direct effects are significant only among non-tourism residents. In addition, objective well-being exerts a
stronger influence on subjective well-being for tourism-participating residents than for non-tourism residents.
