Abstract:

By using CiteSpace5.6.R²and SciMat1.1.4, this paper explored the distribution, evolution, and turning of research hotspots of foreign culture tourism, through dual-map analysis, keyword cluster analysis, burst detection, strategic coordinate map analysis, network structure variation analysis and other visual analysis on 2878 Web of Science papers. The results show that: (1) There are obvious research hotspots keywords of foreign culture tourism, and the research frequency of "authenticity" is the highest, the research center degree of "globalization" is the highest; (2) The evolution of the theme can be divided into four stages: exploration stage (1996-1999), prosperity stage (2000-2007), differentiation stage (2008-2015), and deepening stage (2016-2020); (3) The formation of research hotspots includes a strategic coordinate map with 15 clusters; (4) The paper on the components of destination cultural tourism experience by Cetin G and Bilgihan A is a turning document, which played an innovative and turning role in foreign cultural tourism research.
