Abstract:

Philosophy is both science and belief. The philosophy pointing to scientific knowledge is universal， while the philosophy pointing to spiritual belief has ethnic-national character. If philosophical research focuses on the former， it is in favor of philosophical view of epistemology； but if we want to know and understand the latter， the philosophical view of meaning is needed. The study of ethnic-national character of philosophy and that of philosophy of nation should not only have a philosophical view of epistemology， but also a philosophical view of meaning. Only with the help of the philosophical view of meaning theory can we more accurately understand the problem consciousness， mental process， spiritual world related to the livelihood of different ethnic-nationalities and its coupling relationship with the social and historical experiences and major life concerns， so as to understand the people who create specific philosophies more accurately.
