Abstract: The spiritual genealogy of the Communist Party of China （CPC） is a high condensation of the spiritual map formed in various periods of the century-long struggle of the CPC with the great founding spirit as the source， which has the spiritual leading values of cohesion， inspiration and leadership and shows distinct ideological nature. The spiritual genealogy of the CPC has the quality of continuity， and its quintessential concepts are ideals and beliefs， patriotism， love for the people， arduous struggle， pioneering and innovation. In the face of various challenges in the field of ideology today， the essence of the spiritual genealogy of the CPC is of great value in strengthening the identity of mainstream ideology， building the ideology of the Party and the discourse of Chinese characteristics， resisting the impact of Western ideology and undesirable trends， strengthening ideological leadership， and meeting the challenges of the times in the field of ideology.
