Manchu poetess GU Taiqing has been prominent for her Ci poetry for a long time. Although her Ci poetry did not break through the restraint of feminine querimony, her poetry, with female's delicate feelings and clever writing, showed easy and free heroism as well as woman's unique graceful beauty. Throughout her Ci poetry, which displays calm and sincere style as well as the unique images and the thriving female awareness, we can enjoy a unique beauty of individuality and pathetic experience.
