随着地方经济社会的发展，地方民族文化资源的开发与保护问题也日益突出，这对传统的图书馆民族民间文化的搜集
与保护提出了挑战。地方高校图书馆在民族文化资源建设中一方面要加强地方民族民间传统文化的搜集、整理、开发与保护，另一方面应为区域民族民间文化的保护与传承提供平台与支持，这既可以促进高校图书馆工作的创新，又可提升图书馆的文化底蕴，拓展图书馆的服务教育职能，扩大图书馆的社会影响力，使高校图书馆更有作为。
With the local economic and social development, the problem between developing and protecting local ethnic cultural
resources is getting more and more protruding, which presents a challenge to library in searching and protecting folk culture. What the libraries in regional colleges and universities should do to construct national culture? On one hand, libraries in local colleges and universities can strengthen the searching, arranging, developing and protecting it in local nationalities, on the other hand, it should provide stage and support for protecting and transmitting of regional national folk culture. Undertaking these activities can not only innovate library work in colleges and universities, but improve library's cultural deposits, expand its educational function, extend its social influence and make the libraries play far more role in the future as well.
