Understanding the Cultural Compatibility and Harmoniousness of Nanzhao State and Dali Kingdom from Stele Inscriptions

Stele inscription which is a vital component of the ethnic ancient book and ethnic cultural heritage is an important
document carrier whereby minority culture is handed down and studied. Nanzhao State and Dali Kingdom established in the core area of Changshan Mountain and Erhai Lake were two regional regimes that had exerted a tremendous influence in the southwest China during the Tang-Song period. Their culture displayed the characteristics of multidimensional and harmonious advancement in religious culture, Confucian culture and social progress, and embodied its compatibility and harmoniousness.
