Progress in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Ventilator Associated Pneumonia

Abstract

Abstract:

Objective: To review the latest progression of diagnosis and treatment of ventilator associated pneumonia （VAP）.
Methods: The relevant literature on the VAP diagnostic criteria and treatment measures were collected and summarized. Results: The
lack of simple and reliable diagnostic criteria made the clinical diagnosis of VAP relatively difficult, and effective preventive measures
can significantly reduce the incidence of VAP. Anti- infection is the key to the treatment of VAP, early application of effective
antibacterial drugs can significantly reduce VAP mortality, and shorten the length of hospitalization time. Conclusion: The diagnosis
and treatment of VAP still remained many problems, early diagnosis and effective prevention are important.
