Abstract: Poetry and prose written by adherent poets of the Southern Song Dynasty has very strong hometown feelings which was the result of loyalty complex. The famous adherent poets were heavily influenced by Neo-Confucianism, and even some of them were Neo-Confucians. Most of their works had a distinct temperament, and their loyalty complex was the result of Neo-Confucianism education. Among them, Zheng Sixiao was the most typical one. His collection of poems and essays, History of the Heart, presented a poet's image constructed in the value system Neo-Confucianism. The piercing pain and almost crazy cries in his work were just the expression of his loyalty that abided by and tried to maintain the ethical regulations.
