Abstract: Erzi Dance is performed during the wedding ceremony of Bai people in Dali mountain areas. It is a living fossil of Nuo
Dance, which combines sacrifice, education, singing, dancing, and sports. It is an artistic, sporting and cultural accumulation formed
during the long-term production and living in the mountainous regions of Bai, with a distinctive ethnic style and local color. This paper
studies the changes of the unique cultural, educational and physical functions of Erzi Dance from the perspective of anthropology. The
study of these primitive, traditional non-material forms of Bai cultural resources helps us understand the history, origin and development
of Bai people in mountain areas.
