Abstract:

Objective: To investigate the species of medicinal plants, the character of their distribution as well as the diversity in
Huadianba region, Yunnan province, in order to provide scientific basis for future sustainable development of resources and in-depth
research. Methods: Through field survey, field interviews and indoor analysis, the diversity of common medicinal plant resources in
Huadianba was discussed from the aspects of species composition, family and genus characteristics, medicinal parts, efficacy and other
aspects. Results: The number of medicinal plants in the natural reserve were studied and reported for the first time in this paper．
There were 159 species in 140 genera of 64 families，among which there were 12 species of ferns in 12 genera of 9 families，2 species
of gymnosperms in 2 genera of 2 families，and 145 species of angiosperms in 126 genera of 53 families. Conclusion: The diversity of
medicinal plants in Huadianba is high and the protection and sustainable development of resources should be attached great
importance to.
