Clinical Research of Thyroid Malignant Tumor among Han and Bai Nationality in Dali

Abstract:

Objective: To explore the clinical and pathological features of Han and Bai nationality patients with thyroid malignancy
tumor treated in Yunnan Provincial Fourth People's Hospital. Methods: A total of 198 clinical cases of ethnic patients with thyroid
malignancy tumor who treated in The Fourth People's Hospital of Yunnan from January 2011 to December 2015 were retrospectively
analyzed. Results: The cases of Han were 140(70.71%)and the Bai were 58(29.29%). So ethnic composition ratio between cases
and local population has a very significant difference(P<0.05); The rank of the rate of pathological type is papillary thyroid carcinoma,
follicular thyroid carcinoma, medullary thyroid carcinoma, undifferentated thyroid carcinoma in order. The patients of more than 45
years old and under 45 years old have no difference in malignant degree(P>0.05). Conclusion: The incidence of Yunnan Han and
Bai ethnic patients with thyroid malignancy tumor treated in The Fourth People's Hospital of Yunnan has increased within five years,
with nationality and regional difference. According to the ratio analysis, the morbidity of Han nationality is significantly higher than the
Bai cases.
