Nursing Experience of 20 Cancer Patients Using Implantable Venous Transfusion Port

Abstract:

Objective: To investigate the implantable venous port application effect of cancer patients and nursing experience.
Methods: 20 patients with tumors implanted venous port care were analyzed. Results: Among 20 patients, 1 case got removal due to
skin damage at the site of port pocket, and 1 case was required removal due to slow infusion rate with no aspirated blood, and other 18
patients continued to use. Conclusion: The implantable venous port helps establish a good venous access for cancer patients'
chemotherapy and nutritional support, reduces pain in repeated puncture and vein injury, reduces restrictions in daily life, offers
convenience in medication treatment, and improves the living quality.
