The Effects of Periplaneta americana Extract on Spleen Lymphocytes of H22 Tumor-bearing Mice

Abstract

Abstract:

Objective：To study the effects of Periplanet americana extract on spleen lymphocytes of H22 Tumor- bearing mice.
Methods：BALB/c mice were administered with low dose, middle dose and high dose of Periplaneta americana extract（50,100,200
mg/kg）by gavage. The positive group was injected with 50 mg/kg cyclophosphamide. After 10-day feeding and injection respectively the
content of T lymphocytes in the spleen, lymphocyte cells, Monocyte cells and granulocyte cells in peripheral blood were measured, and
the anti-tumor rate was calculated. Results：The Periplaneta americana extract could obviously increase the content of CD8+ and the
tumor growth inhibition rate（P<0.05）compared with the normal group. Conclusion：Periplaneta americana extract can inhibit the
growth of H22 liver tumor in mice and its mechanism may be related to the increase of the content of CD8+ in the spleen.
