A Comparison of Psychological Theories of Vygotsky and Leontjev#br#

Abstract

Abstract: Vygotsky's and Leontjev's theories are the important sources of contemporary social - cultural theories. They had
established a long-term academic cooperation relationship, but there are apparent differences in their methodological basis, research
objects and views on psychological development. However, their theories can be integrated in a new framework of Cultural-Historical
Activity Theory.
