Abstract:

Objective:The paper is to study the remineralized effects on root caries of different kinds of fluoride toothpaste and
fluoride- free toothpaste contained NaF concentration10, 20 and 40 mg/L. Methods:The tissue block of artificial body root was
prepared from bovine incisor, "open window" and put them in 37 ℃ demineralization solution for 96 hours to form artificial root caries.
Six samples were randomly divided into each group. The demineralized samples were pH-cycled through for 8 days with 6 cycles per
day. The samples were evaluated by using polarized light microscope(PLM). Results:Fluoride toothpaste group showed varying
degrees of mineral deposition, and the deposition band width order was as follow: Darlie>Cnice>Colgate. The deposition band width
order of fluoride-free toothpaste with NaF was as follow: 40 mg/L>20 mg/L>10 mg/L. Conclusion:The remineralization effect of
Darlie in fluoride toothpaste was the best, and the remineralization of fluoride-free toothpaste with 40 mg/L NaF was the best.
