A Study on Chemical Constituents of Hypericum uralum

Abstract

Abstract:

Objective: To study the chemical constituents of Hypericum uralum. Methods: The compounds were isolated by silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography, and their structures were elucidated based on the analyses of spectroscopic data and physicochemical properties. Results: Six compounds were obtained from the ethyl acetate fraction of 95% ethanolic extract of Hypericum uralum and identified as β- sitosterol（1）, stigmasterol（2）, daucosterol（3）, betulinic acid（4）, quercetin（5）, and epicatechin（6）. Conclusion: Compounds 1-6 were isolated from this plant for the first time.
