Abstract: Studying the distribution of intransitive verbs is of practical significance, but is also an equivocal grammatical problem, for
the classification of intransitive verbs has always been a difficulty. Aiming at the complicated distribution of intransitive verbs, this
paper adopts the Usage-Based Theory in Cognitive Grammar and What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get Approach(WYSIWYGA)to
study their distribution and classifies them into four types. The research methods embody the comprehensive view, associative view,
development view and concrete view in dialectic epistemology. Especially, the study of intransitive verbs used both in the ergative
(ERG)and mid-voice structures fully embody dialectic principle of Internal Causes and External Causes.
