On the Significance of "Multicultural Education" to Dance Education in the Frontier Ethnic Regions:#br# A Case Study of the Dance Teaching in Yunnan Academy of Arts

Abstract: Through the study of "multicultural education", taking the Dance Institute of Yunnan Academy of Arts as an example, this
paper reflects on the problems of dance education in the frontier ethnic areas: the disharmonies between "oneness" and "diversity",
between training and employment, and between "nationally accepted teaching materials" and "indigenous teaching materials". It is
reflected that the regional dance education should pay attention to the regional dance curriculum, emphasize the construction of
regional dance teaching materials, cultivate regional dance teachers, and adjust the content of regional dance training.
