Abstract: Water conservancy inscriptions are important original documents for the study of water conservancy construction, social
changes, and economic and cultural development and so on. Xiangyun county, with its long history and splendid culture, has abundant
water inscriptions resources. A great amount of literatures has been collated and researched on those inscriptions, and the research
results are gratifying, such as Series of Dali · Epigraphy, Annals of Xiangyun County, Steles in Xiangyun, Epigraphy of Xiangyun and
so on. However, when sorting out the inscriptions on the Xiangyun water conservancy in the existing literature, it still found that there
are mistakes, omissions and untrue records which need to be further verifies and amended.
