Abstract: Through the tissue culture of Rhododendron edgeworthii Hook. f. seedlings, the sterilization method and proliferation culture formula of it were explored to establish the tissue culture system. The results shows that, the contamination rate of Rhododendron edgeworthii Hook. f. was 7.5% when they were sterilized in 8 min treatment under 0.1% HgCl2; the bud induction coefficient of Rhododendron edgeworthii Hook. f. was the highest, reaching 5.20, when the concentration of TDZ was 0.3 mg/L and the concentration of IBA was 0.5 mg/L; the bud differentiation coefficient of Rhododendron edgeworthii Hook. f. was the highest, reaching 13.00, when the concentration of TDZ was 0.5 mg/L and the concentration of IBA was 0.05 mg/L; when the concentration of KT was 0.8 mg/L, the concentration of IBA was 0.08 mg/L, and the concentration of GA3 was 0.2 mg/L, the growth rate of the rhododendrons was the highest, reaching 96.00%.
