Abstract: Objective: To summarize the clinical features and therapeutic experiences of digestive tract obstruction caused by Orbeez
in children. Methods: A retrospective study was carried out on the clinical manifestations, examinations and treatments with 13 cases
of digestive tract obstruction caused by Orbeez in children from March 2017 to July 2019 in Affiliated Kunming Children′s Hospital of
Kunming Medical University. Results: All 13 cases had clinical and imaging manifestations of different degrees of digestive tract
obstruction, the conditions were aggravated after conservative treatment, and surgical explorations were performed. In the operation, it
was found that the obstructions were caused by Orbeez. 2 cases were performed by enterotomy to remove the foreign bodies. The other
11 cases were treated by decompression from the intestinal tract to the colon after squeezing the foreign bodies. All the cases were
cured. Conclusion: Intestinal obstructions caused by Orbeez are mostly located in the small intestine, and it is often difficult to excrete
by themselves. Prompt surgical exploration is required as soon as possible after diagnosis, and it is recommended to crush and
decompress the foreign bodies in the intestine to the colon and waited for excretion.
