Image Construction of American Confessional Poetry: Taking Mirror, Moon and Crow, etc. as Examples

Abstract: Although it is "confessional", American confessional poets employ images skillfully as a carrier for conveying emotions
which reflects both the commonality and universality of the culture contained in confessional poetry with strong personal color and
emotional experience, and its unique temperament and poetic expression have also enriched the artistic conception and content of
confessional poetry. This is especially true in three image groups, i.e., mirror, moon and crow, which could fully display the image
construction and aesthetic performance of American confession poetry.
