Abstract: Study on traditional history and culture could provide a critical guide for the ecological conservation practice. Changes of
salt wells, regarded as a microcosm of human evolution, have widely attracted the researchers' attention. In this study, biliometric
methods were used to analyze the current research status of salt wells, and to find out the study defects and the quest of relating
historical and cultural research for the need of China's ecological conservation. It was expected to provide some reference for the
forthcoming researches on salt-well culture.
