Abstract: Objective: To explore the clinical effects of free anterolateral thigh flap in repairing soft tissue defects of the forefoot.
Methods: Free anterolateral thigh flap was used to repair 20 cases of soft tissue defects in the forefoot. The minimum flap removal
area was 4.0 cm × 3.0 cm, and the maximum was 18.0 cm × 8.0 cm. The flap donor area is sutured directly. Results: All 16 flaps survived
completely, 1 flap was completely necrotic, and 3 flaps were partially necrotic. Eighteen patients were followed up for 3-12 months.
Most of the flaps were good in appearance, and the function of the forefoot receiving area was satisfactory. Conclusion: Free anterolateral
thigh flap is effective in repairing soft tissue defects of the forefoot.
