Research on International Legal Regulations of Information Privacy in the Digital Economy Era

Abstract:

 The global flow of personal data is a direct driving force for the in-depth development of the global digital economy. Information privacy regulations in the era of the digital economy have become an unavoidable issue for global data governance. The rise of data sovereignty and security has prompted sovereign countries and relevant international organizations to regulate data cross-border. The internationalization of information privacy is attributed to the digitization of information and the universally connected network life structure it is concerned about how to collect process share store and delete personal data in accordance with the law. The private sector which holds a large amount of personal data has become an important subject in the innovation and development of the global digital economy. International regulations on information privacy are inseparable from the participation of the private sector. The international legal regulation of information privacy should be improved from three aspects the private sector should be directly included in the relevant information privacy international regulation platform the establishment of a unified minimum protection standard for information privacy and related technical standards and international regulations on violation of information privacy responsibility.
