Abstract:

 CBI emphasizes the integration of language learning with specific subject content. This teaching approach is reflected in the designation of the International Chinese Language Education syllabus the arrangement of teaching materialsand the organization of teaching activities. Taking Chinese language education in the UAE as an example this paper analyzes and compares Chinese teaching programs in the UAE. International Chinese Language Education involves all stages of K-12 education inUnited Arab Emirates. By analyzing the characteristics content and functions of Chinese teaching in each stage the application of CBI in the UAE's Chinese teaching project is summarized. After comparing the characteristics of the two projects of Chinese programs in the UAE the effect of optimizing the CBI under the standardized teaching mode is further proposed.
