Abstract:

Objective To study the chemical constituents of medicinal insect Vespa auraria. Methods The monomer compounds were obtained by the methods of chromatographic separations and purification and the structures of compounds were identified by carbon and hydrogen NMR data analysis combined with literature comparison. Results Eleven compounds were isolated and identified from the chloroform extract of Vespa auraria including five cyclic dipeptides cycloAla-Pro)(1), cycloPro-Pro)(2), cycloPro-Gly)(3), cycloPro-Tyr)(4), cycloThr-Pro)(5), one acetylated amino acid N-acetyl-isoleucine6), one organic amine N-acetyl-4-4-hydroxybenzeneethylamine7), and three small molecule heterocyclic acids nicotinic cacid8), 1-methyl-1234-tetrahydro-carboline-3-carboxylic acid9), 3-indoleacetic acid10), and one benzodioxane compound:(2R3S-2-3'4'-dihydroxyphenyl-3-acetylamino-7-N-acetyl-2''-aminoethyl-14-benzodioxane11. Conclusion All the eleven compounds are isolated from this medicinal insect for the first time.
