Research on the Application of Critical Thinking Teaching Based on Curriculum Ideology and Politics: A Case Study of Western Economics as an Example

Abstract: In the course of western economics, the teaching of critical thinking and the curriculum ideology and politics have a natural correspondence. Through the cultivation of students’ critical thinking, the ideological and political penetration of the course can be completed, so that students can dialectically know and understand the western economic theory, and better apply the theoretical knowledge to the construction of socialist market economy in our country. Teachers can realize the teaching of Western economics critical thinking based on curriculum thinking and politics by the process design of class before, during and after and improving the evaluation of students’ learning outcomes. It requires teachers to build a relatively complete knowledge system, expand teaching methods, and explore multiple teaching methods suitable for critical thinking training. Through the effective integration of critical thinking teaching and curriculum thinking and politics, students can realize the fundamental goal of cultivating morality while understanding Western economics dialectically and comprehensively and objectively.
