Abstract: It is extremely necessary and urgent to accelerate the construction of China's independent knowledge system and build an
independent knowledge system for Chinese philosophy and social sciences. Based on this perspective, this study tries to explore the
construction basis of the independent knowledge system of ideological and political education from the perspectives of disciplinary
development needs, national and social development needs, and academic system construction needs. The political, developmental,
cultural, and phased characteristics of the independent knowledge system of ideological and political education are analyzed, and the
construction method for the independent knowledge system is proposed on this basis. In order to promote the construction of the
independent knowledge system of ideological and political education to be more original, academic, and innovative, this study attempts
to make some useful explorations and attempts for the construction of the independent knowledge system of ideological and political
education.
