Abstract: SCAPS software was used to simulate the optimization of the hole transport layer and the electron transport layer in
perovskite solar cells. Firstly, the basic model of perovskite solar cells was established, and spiro-OMeTAD and TiO₂ were replaced
with CuI and C60 as the hole transport layer and the electron transport layer, respectively. Through simulations, the effects on
parameters such as photoelectric conversion efficiency, open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current density, and fill factor of perovskite
solar cells were studied. The results indicate that the optimized alternative materials can significantly increase the photoelectric
conversion efficiency of perovskite solar cells by 200%. On the one hand, this study provides a reference for optimizing solar cells. On
the other hand, it also helps students to learn to use SCAPS software to simulate the structure and performance of solar cells and
understand the ideas and steps for optimizing solar cells. In addition, this study can provide a theoretical basis for further guiding the
preparation experiments of perovskite solar cells.
