The tetrasyllable words in Naxi language would be divided into seven forms based on the overlapping relationship of syllables, which are AABB, ABAB, AABC, ABAC, ABCB, ABCB, ABCC, and ABCD. The main structures of the rhythm are alliterative compounds and rhyming compounds of the first syllable and the third, the rhyming compounds of the second syllable and the fourth. There are many styles of the tones-allocation in tetrasyllable; the most abundant is in the form of AABB, which contains eight styles. And there are four syllables in the same tone in the following forms (AABB, ABAC and ABCB). None of these seven forms has the situation that all of the four syllables are totally in different tones.
