Methodological Transformation of Central-local Relationship History Study in Late Qing and Early Republic under the Background of Yunnan Local Legal History Study

This paper sorts out the research status quo of local legal in the end of Qing and beginning of Republic, deepens regional study by combining new historiography and multidisciplinary analysis , and then suggests that the case study of Yunnan local legal and its practice in the same period represents the methodological transformation of central-local relationship history study. The paper also points out that under the theoretical framework of state and society the key of methodological transformation lies in three aspects:objective description of Yunnan local legal relationship, power system, legal control and legal culture; the analyzes of the interaction of Yunnan local elite and populace politics; and the revealing of Yunnan local legal development in modern transformation period from the perspective of sociology of law and historical anthropology.
