On the Town and Walls of Lijiang in Ming and Qing Dynasty

The ancient town of Lijiang is a town without city walls. This makes it amazing around the world. With varied strategic position in dynasties of past ages, government of Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing had different management strategies to Lijiang. As a result, city walls which had ever been built were later pulled down for certain reasons and thus disappeared.

Abstract:

The ancient town of Lijiang is a town without city walls. This makes it amazing around the world.
