Revelation of YAN Yangchu's Education Equality Theory and Practice to Contemporary Education Reforms

Mr. YAN Yangchu devoted for 70 years to mass education in order to realize the ideal of education equality. He held that only education equality could bring equal development opportunities and promote national competitiveness. Education equality is the basic precondition for the realization of personality equality and social justice. Education equality guarantees the harmony of society and the peace of mankind. YAN Yangchu's theory and practice of education equality possess reference meaning to contemporary education reforms of China.
