Further Research on the Imperial Examination System of Dali Kingdom

After analyzing the two inscriptions on the same tablet by the same author —Inscription for Rebuilding Xingbao Temple Yangpai County by Duke GAO Yuchengguang of Dali Kingdom and Inscription for Sacrifice to Jisu Peak God Yangpai County Baozhou, the author YANG Caizhao, proficient in Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, is identified as a scholar from the imperial examination by origin, and Shilang is the title for those passed the exam in Dali Kingdom. There are obvious differences both in the examination content and the title of the imperial examination system between Dali Kingdom and Song Dynasty.
