Huainanzi is an ideological academic writing compiled collectively by the Huinan King LIU An and his disciples in the early Western Han Dynasty. The book, which is broad and profound, has recorded the religious beliefs in and before Xia Dynasty. The materials become the important research basis of ancient religious thoughts. The religious thoughts in Huainanzi are mainly the immortal Taoist thoughts, with some other minor concepts of god as nature worship, ancestor worship and spirit worship.
