Study on Confucius Concept of Destiny

The concept of destiny is the cornerstone of Confucius'ethic thoughts．The change of belief was from believing in God to worshipping ghosts to respecting human beings and morality in Xia，Shang and Zhou Dynasty，such alteration from abstract to concreteness made the people'fete and belief seek for utility gradually in Zhou Dynasty．Based on rethink profoundly of the belief of people then，Confucius inherited the belief spirit in in Xia，Shang and Zhou Dynasty，and formed his concept of destiny creatively．He trusted that only through belief in natural law，could people transform morality from the benevolence that Heaven offers human being， realize kindheartedness in real society and establish harmonious ideal world．
