In the area of Lijiang Naxi，committing suicide for love was prevalent once as a special custom，which formed its own
unique style among the numerous cultural phenomena．Committing suicide for love of Naxi ethnic group is influenced by a variety of cultural forces．The thesis aims at making analysis and introspection from the phenomena of”committing suicide for love”among Naxi People in Lijiang with a comparison of world suicide culture from the perspectives of social psychology and thespian aesthetic，as well as world suicide culture．
