Investigation of the Practical Skill Training Mode for Preventive Medical Students

Abstract:

Objective: To investigate the practical skill training mode for preventive medical students and to improve the level of
students' practical skills. Methods: Students were encouraged to participate in synthetic and designing experimental practices, in
teacher's scientific research, and in innovative experiments as well as in subject applications. Results: Students' practical ability and
research capability were better exercised and improved. Student's practical activities were greatly enhanced in 2012. Seven innovative
experiments and over 60 scientific researches were applied, more than 10 scientific papers were published by students. Student's
practical skills were intensified and highly praised by practice units and employers. Conclusion: Student's practical skills were
enhanced to a certain extent with still some room for further improvement before social practice. Therefore, the practical skill training
mode expects further investigation.
