Abstract:

Charles Bernstein is the leader of the contemporary language poetry, and In Particular is the first poem of his thirtieth
book Girly Man. Through an analysis of the structure, content and rhyme of In Particular, and the poetics reflected from this poem
such as the unique creation techniques, the reader and text interaction, and the political and social nature, tries to interpret the
profound connotation ——— the poet's respect to the individual, love for the society and the wish to construct a harmonious and
beautiful society.
