Abstract:

From the rhetorical point of view，the paper discusses the contextual factors that have affected the Success of TCSL，and suggests that rhetorical context concerning time and space，cultural background，teaching subject and teaching content should be designed to strengthen learners interest in Chinese learning and accomplish the special communication form of teaching．The paper also hohts that such a rhetorical context should absorb the advanced theories of second language teaching，and disseminate Chinese culture and language as well.
