Abstract:

Objective:To introduce a measure to study the sensitive sentences with eye-tracking guide lines. Methods: First using questionnaire to pick up several typical sensitive questions and sentences, then using eye-tracking system to attain some related guide lines, and finally comparing processing of different related regions. Results: The evaluation of three typical questions was from 208 college students, such as questions of social morality, politics attitude and privacy;the scores were 29.560±5.347,32.700±7.133 and 29.370±9.243, while there was of significant difference(F=13.222, P<0.01);The dwell time of the word“prostitution”was 596.460±305.737 ms,the relative dwell time was 8.538±5.471, while the dwell time of word “democracy”was 363.361±248.781 ms, the relative dwell time
was 11.687±6.882. So there was different characteristic of processing between sensitive questions and other non-sensitive questions from the eye movement results of 40 college students. Conclusion: Our research shows that the new measure is effective to detect the processing of sensitive questions, and the measure can take suitable information for the related study in health statistics.
