Analysis on Clinical Manifestation and Auxiliary Examinations of Viral Encephalitis:Report of 48 Cases

Abstract:

Objective: To explore the clinical symptoms and the auxiliary examination of viral encephalitis, providing clinical evidence for the diagnosis and treatment of viral encephalitis. Methods: A clinical data of forty-eight patients with viral encephalitis in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed.Results: The major clinical manifestations included fever, headache, psychiatric symptoms and vomiting. Auxiliary examination revealed Electroencephalogram(EEG)abnormality rate of 86.7%, cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)abnormality rate of 75% and 40%of the abnormal rate of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Conclusion: The data showed that the clinical manifestations of viral encephalitis were special. Auxiliary examination of EEG, also CSF, MRI were with great significance in the diagnosis of viral encephalitis.
