Abstract:

Objective: To establish a method for the determination of Quercetin in Rhizoma Rodgersiae from different areas and
different harvest time. Methods: The contents of Quercetin were determined by HPLC. The mobile phase consisted of methanol-0.5% phosphoric acid (50:50), the detection wavelength was 370 nm, with the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min and the temperature at 30 0C.Results: The contents of Quercetin in Rhizoma Rodgersiae from different areas and different harvest time varied greatly. The contents of Quercetin in Rhizoma Rodgersiae from different areas with the same harvest time were 0.129%-0.207%. The contents of Quercetin in Rhizoma Rodgersiae from different harvest time with the same areas were 0.074%-0.129% . Conclusion: The method for determination of Quercetin is simple, accurate and with good repeatability, which could provide a scientific basis for rational development and utilization.
