Investigation of Pinworms Infection in Experimental Rats

Abstract

Abstract:

Objective: To investigate the infection status of pinworms among experimental rats at some college. Methods: The
current national standard Laboratory Animal-parasitic Standards and Monitoring was used to test the pinworms in the samples of rats.Sample stool was smeared by physiological saline to detect pinworms. Results: The results showed that the infection rate was 25% on experimental rats （17/69）. Conclusion: It is recommendable to take regular parasitic examination to assure safety of experimenter and ensure reliable and rigorous experiment.
