Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the efficiency and safety of sole vein pump in the prevention of deep vein thrombosis(DVT) after spinal surgery. Methods: Eighty-six patients with spinal injury were randomly divided into 2 groups and 43 patients for each group, patients in control group were given common drug and nursing care preventions, others in the observation group were given physical therapy by sole vein pump beside common treatment. DVT was diagnosed by lower extremity color Doppler ultrasound before and 7 days after surgery, and the indexes of DVT incidence, leg swelling and D-dimer were evaluated. Results: After 7 days treatment, leg swelling in both 2 groups eased; in observation group, the lower limb circumference changed at (1.3±0.3)cm and amount of D-dimer decreased(0.6±0.1)ng/L, which were both lower than that in the control group (P<0.05), and the incidence of DVT of 2 groups was 2.3%(observation group)and 18.6%(control group)(P<0.05), and there were no complication in two groups. Conclusion: Sole vein pump could safely and fast ease the swelling of leg, which showed good efficiency in the prevention of deep vein thrombosis after spinal surgery, it is worthy of clinical promotion.
